StructureTool2D is a structural analysis and educational application. The local-server edition runs on your computer. A future externally hosted edition will have its own verified hosting and retention controls.
When you import an Excel workbook or run an analysis, the application saves a working copy of the uploaded model and the generated results in its configured storage folder. This can include the original workbook, a unit-normalized calculation workbook, drawings, result tables, and Word reports.
Each analysis job is assigned an unguessable identifier. Anyone with the corresponding result link may be able to open or download its files. Avoid uploading confidential or personally identifying content.
New jobs are scheduled to expire after 24 hours. Temporary downloads are scheduled to expire after 15 minutes. The local launcher checks for expired jobs and downloads when it starts and approximately once per hour while running. File removal may therefore occur after the expiration time, not precisely at it. You can manually remove your own local storage files.
Optional PostHog analytics are disabled by default in the local edition. An operator can enable them through explicit configuration. When enabled, analytics can collect page views, feature usage, and technical metadata under the provider's own practices. Server software, operating systems, and hosting providers may also record network activity or IP addresses. We do not claim that IP addresses are never stored.
The external-server edition will require a separate review of hosting, access controls, logs, analytics settings, data retention, and applicable privacy requirements before publication. This statement alone does not certify those controls.
